Kay Donner Updates

Christmas is over for another year, yet the feeling of family warmth hovers around me. It is just an emotion I can’t, and don’t want to, let go of. You all mean so much to me and have added to my ‘character’. I love you all and want to thank you for giving me a life full of the Spirit and the peace that comes with family - albeit sometimes unhappy and hurtful, we are still family. We are connected and give help and healing whenever possible. Also, so very important, we share in each others happiness.

I visited Lorane and Ron yesterday. I am amazed at how well they look and act. It’s hard to believe they are going through so many health problems. I haven’t talked to Janice since she was diagnosed, but I am praying that her chemo will produce the results her doctor basically guaranteed. Uncle John is feeling better and I believe that he most likely enjoyed being here to celebrate the Christmas as much as Ron, Lorane, and Janice. The last I heard about Aunt Dora was that she was feeling better. I hope so and pray for her comfort.

I had a nice talk with Beth and Tarpan. There was so much laughter going on in their home that it was hard to carry on a decent conversation. Natasha will be making them great-grandparents in April. After Tarp saw the MRI, he had no doubt the baby is a male. Congrats to Grandma Kelly and Grandpa Larry.

Dutchess has been receiving e-mails even though she can’t send them out. From what I can ascertain, she is about to become an “e-mail junkie”. Put her on your list, because she loves it!!

Diana and Bill, in MI, are spoiling their grandson Cullen. Can you just imagine the loving that child is receiving? He’s the only baby in their midst, and Diana is … maybe doting is a good word among others. But, if you could meet Cullen, you would have to agree that he is so squishy and loveable (if he’ll stop long enough for someone to get a hold of him).

Jim and Cathy have been a blessing to me. They live close by and are woven into my family so that one would guess they are like second parents to my children (or second children to Bill and me). They show their love in so many ways that we can’t do without seeing or talking to them several times a week.

As for my own kids, I couldn’t be more proud. They are the most wonderful parents, spouses, siblings, friends, and acquaintances. They are both Godly and blessed. They are thankful for their bounty and are truly the beautiful people that poets talk about. And, they are still being formed. Their children are all unique and give us so much pleasure. They are full of life, happy kids, intelligent, sensitive and loving. Please pray with me that their lives will continue to be a light unto others.

My husband? What a marvelous person. He has treated me well and shown me an exciting life. I’ve always been his main objective to living (well, except for his golf score). I love him and he loves me and isn’t that just great????

Okay, I’m done ‘gushing’. Have a productive and important New Year. I hope it brings joy and prosperity to you all.

Love, Karen (Kay) Donner

PS: A little bit of information from Randi and Denny Kreutzer (Foster & June’s son).  Seems that Dennis has had a bout of pneumonia since Christmas.  He was in the hospital for a spell, but Randi says he’s home now and recuperating.  He needs to take it easy for a while and do some deep-breathing exercises.  He also has some medication he needs to take to heal properly.  Keep him and Randi in your prayers that he may respond to his treatment and recover completely.

While Dennis was suffering with pneumonia, Randi suffered another blow.  Her mother passed away Christmas day.  I’m sorry I didn’t know about this sooner, so that we could have had a message out before now.  I guess it’s still not too late to send our sympathy and prayers.

Hope no one else is having trouble, but if so, please notify me.  I think we all like to know how our family members are doing.

Kay.

P.SS.  If anyone has an e-mail address for Aunt Dora and/or Aunt Janet (or any of their family members) will you send it to me so that I can keep track of them too?  Thanks, Have a healthy, happy and profitable week.
